The Sony Creative Science Awards final to be held on the 2nd June'09.

Its an occasion that makes us both proud and happy.

Sony has been at the forefront of creating uniquely joyful experiences through innovative and trend-setting products, compelling games, movies and music. This is thanks to a focus on scientific development, technological breakthroughs and creative pursuit.

This year also coincedes with the 50th Anniversary of Sony’s support to education. The Sony Education Foundation was established in 1959 and this year(2009) is its 50th year. Sony’s founding fathers Akio Morita & Masaru Ibuka, defined the enhancement of scientific literacy as one of the company’s core missions. The Sony Creative Science Award supports this mission and it is very heartening to know that this year (the 5th consecutive year of the SCSA in Saudi Arabia); a record of over 1200 project entries have been received from various participating MoD and MoE public schools.

On the 2nd we will start the awards ceremony after the Isha prayers at about 8:45pm therafter followed by the very popular and extremely interesting Science Show performed by the very popular Japanese Scientist Mr. Nichimura & his team performing for the students at the Science Show. P.S: Entry for this day(2nd) is on private invitation only

On the 3rd we have 2 science shows one in the morning - thats the 1st show at about 9:30 am and the 2nd show at about 4:15pm. P.S: Entry for this day(3rd – both shows) is FREE / OPEN invitation for all.
